The Flying Biscuit Café Is Coming to McDonough, Georgia

The Flying Biscuit Café Is Coming to McDonough, Georgia

Henry County is getting a new place to start the day. The Flying Biscuit Café has signed a lease at 982 Jonesboro Rd., Suite 208, in McDonough — its first location in the county, with doors targeted to open in the fourth quarter of 2027.

Meet the Franchisees

The café will be owned and run by Keisha Carter and Eric Gladmon, two new franchise partners bringing the Atlanta-born brand home to Henry County.

“We looked at second-generation spaces first, and there wasn’t much worth having, so we decided to build from the ground up in a part of the county that’s still growing,” said Carter. “Henry County keeps welcoming new families and still feels like a place where people know each other. We want this to be where a family has breakfast on a Saturday, and where the school down the road calls when they need to feed a room full of people.”

That’s the plan in a nutshell — regulars on a Saturday, and a caterer schools and offices can call without thinking twice.

Built New, On Purpose

Instead of moving into an existing restaurant space, Carter and Gladmon chose to build from scratch on Jonesboro Road, a stretch of Henry County that’s picking up speed. New apartments are going in, and neighbors like Starbucks and City Barbeque have already staked their claim nearby. It’s the kind of corner that’s still filling in — which is exactly why they picked it.

What’s Landing on the Menu

When the doors open, expect the full Flying Biscuit lineup: stuffed French toast, shrimp and grits, hearty omelets, vegan scrambles, burgers and wraps. There’s also full-service catering on the table for schools, offices and events across Henry County. Come hungry — the biscuits don’t leave much room for restraint.

Part of Something Bigger

McDonough is the latest stop in a busy run for Flying Biscuit. Recent lease signings have landed in Atlanta, Raleigh, Orlando, Knoxville, Abilene and the St. Louis metro. That puts the brand at 43 locations open and 13 more in development across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Texas and Missouri — with more markets on the way.
