Love at First Bite: Meet the Newest Members of The Flying Biscuit Cafe Family

Big news, biscuit lovers — The Flying Biscuit Cafe is heading to Abilene, Texas, and the couple behind it might just be our most exciting franchise partners yet.

They walked into a Flying Biscuit, tried the food, soaked in the vibe, and basically said, “We’re not leaving. Actually, can we just own one of these?” We love that energy.

College Sweethearts. Parents of Two. Franchise Veterans. Biscuit Obsessed.

Here’s their story: these two met in college, have been a team for 14 years, and have two kids — Adelynn (2) and Easton (1). So being home afternoons and evenings was important to them.

They also own and operate a couple of other franchise businesses, which means they know what it takes to build something real. But Flying Biscuit hit different.

“We knew The Flying Biscuit was the right opportunity for us when we walked in the doors,” they said. “The overall bright and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant, as well as the food being served — we fell in love.”

We don’t blame them. One bite of our famous flying biscuits paired with our cranberry apple butter and most people are ready to sign on the dotted line too.

Abilene Is Just the Beginning

Here’s where it gets interesting. These two aren’t just opening a restaurant — they’ve got their sights set on all of West Texas.

“Our marketing plan is not just for Abilene, Texas, but hopefully the entire West Texas region as a whole,” they said. “We want to bring the best breakfast joint to the entire region. Bringing some southern hospitality to our community is what we look forward to.”

The best part? They’re not parachuting in from somewhere else. They’re West Texas natives who know their neighbors, care about their city, and are ready to make it a whole lot more delicious on Saturday mornings.

Growing Big, Staying Us

The Flying Biscuit Cafe started in Atlanta with a simple idea: make incredible food, create a space people actually want to hang out in, and treat every guest like they belong. That hasn’t changed — and it won’t.

Every new location runs on that same recipe. Great plates. Good people. A dining room that feels like your favorite spot from the moment you walk in. Our new Abilene partners got that right away — because they felt it as guests before they ever signed on as owners.

That’s the kind of partnership we get excited about.
