Proven Success: Flying Biscuit’s Remarkable Franchise Growth Dominates Q1 2026

Butter up a biscuit and settle in — we’ve got news worth savoring.

Flying Biscuit Café just wrapped up one of its busiest quarters yet, and the short version is this: the biscuit is flying higher than ever. In the first three months of 2026 alone, we sold six new territories, planted our flag in two brand-new markets, locked in four new leases, and cut the ribbon on a brand-new café in Tallahassee, Florida. Not a bad way to kick off the year.

Quick Facts: Flying Biscuit Q1 2026

  • Total locations: 42 open, 8 in development
  • New markets entered: Nashville, TN and Abilene, TX
  • Territories sold: 6 in Q1 2026
  • New leases signed: Atlanta, GA; Raleigh, NC; Orlando, FL; Knoxville, TN
  • Growth focus: Florida, Texas, Tennessee
  • Recent opening: Tallahassee, FL

New Flying Biscuit Locations: Two New Cities, Same Biscuit Feeling

Say hello to Abilene, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee — our two newest markets and the latest additions to the Flying Biscuit family. We’re also doubling down where folks already know us, with continued growth in Houston and Raleigh. And the pipeline keeps filling up: new leases are officially signed in Atlanta, Raleigh, Orlando, and Knoxville. Translation? A whole lot of people are about to meet their new favorite brunch spot.

That brings us to 42 locations open and 8 more on the way. Momentum, meet biscuits.

Experienced Franchise Operators Who Get It

Here’s the part that really makes us smile. Most of the new franchisees coming aboard aren’t first-timers — they’re seasoned operators from other successful franchise systems who’ve done their homework, run the numbers, and decided Flying Biscuit is where they want to plant their next flag. They know a good brunch concept when they see one (and honestly, who could blame them — have you had the Creamy Dreamy Shrimp & Grits?).

Even better, a bunch of our existing franchisees are expanding with us. When the people who already know the brand inside and out want more of it, that tells you something.

A Word From Our Franchising President

“We’re seeing strong interest in Flying Biscuit because the brand has real staying power,” said Daryl Dollinger, President of Flying Biscuit Franchising. He pointed to the brand’s longevity, its ability to roll with changing market conditions, and a track record that keeps drawing experienced operators to the table. What’s exciting him most right now? Watching existing franchisees come back for seconds.

Franchise Growth Across Florida, Texas, Tennessee — and Beyond

The South is buzzing. Florida, Texas, and Tennessee are leading the charge, and that multi-unit development deal we signed in St. Louis back in Q4 is still very much in the works. Wherever we go, the mission stays the same: find partners who genuinely care about their neighbors, serve food that feels like a hug, and build the kind of cafés people want to come back to every weekend (and a few weekdays, too).

So to our new franchisees, our future neighbors, and every regular who’s ever ordered a side of grits “just because” — thank you. We’re just getting warmed up.
